How do you play roulette?

Roulette is played with a huge reel that includes either 38 or 37 pockets. These pockets are numbered starting from zero to thirty six. The job of a dealer or croupier is to spin the ball on the external edge of the reel, after which the ball will ultimately land on any one of the numbered pockets. 

What about the chips

Every player has a different color of chips. This is helpful for the dealer to identify who to pay the winning amount. At times, the croupier will ask you “Outside or Inside” whenever you go to purchase chips, to know whether you want to make outside bets (dozens, columns, Odd/Even, black/red) or inside bets (particular numbers). This is because if you want to bet just inside and another player is wagering only outside, then the dealer will provide you both with the chips of the same color to avoid any confusion. Still, if you are confused How do you play roulette, when the dealer asks you for Outside or Inside, you should answer “both”, though you just wish to bet inside or outside.
